Renaissance Dental makes it easy for enrollees to receive dental care here in the United States. Now our Passport Dental program makes it easy to receive dental care almost everywhere in the world!
With Passport Dental, Renaissance Dental enrollees can receive expert dental care when they are outside of the United States through the AXA Assistance worldwide network of dentists and dental clinics.
What dental services are covered
Renaissance Dental enrollees (see below for more information) can receive dental treatment for both non-emergency and emergency care through Passport Dental, according to the terms of their Renaissance Dental coverage.
However, it is important to note that AXA Assistance dentists are not Renaissance Dental participating dentists. This means enrollees who are covered under any Renaissance Dental program that limits their coverage when they see a nonparticipating dentist will have limited coverage when they see an AXA Assistance dentist.
How to receive dental assistance
Outside the United States:
When calling from outside the United States, contact an operator and request a collect call to (312) 356-5971. Identify yourself as a Renaissance Dental enrollee to the AXA Assistance representative. Operators are available 24/7.
Inside the United States:
Call (888) 558-2705.
How to submit a claim
When services are provided by AXA Assistance dentists, enrollees must pay for their treatment and get a detailed receipt so they can submit a claim to Renaissance Dental for reimbursement when they return to the United States.
Receipts should include:
• The dentist’s name and address (including country)
• A description of the services performed (including what tooth and/or teeth were treated)
• The charges and whether those charges were billed in U.S. dollars or local currency
Once claims are submitted to us, we will reimburse enrollees according to the terms and conditions of their existing Renaissance Dental coverage. In most cases, that means both emergency and routine treatment will be covered.
